Welcome to St. Alban’s Catholic Primary School. St. Alban’s school exists to provide high quality education within a living Catholic Community which values each individual and enables every child to reach his or her potential.
The school has a natural link with the three parishes of OLEM, St. Philip Howard and Sawston. This helps to promote a good Catholic ethos and provides cohesion amongst families who come from all over the city.
St. Alban’s is a happy and popular school – OFSTED (2010)
OFSTED Report (2010) judged that our school permeates a ‘strong Catholic identity’, underlining that our school is filled with love and everyone is happy. OFSTED R.E. Report (2010) states that there is a strong leadership within the school that promotes spiritual and moral development very well, coupled with the school’s Performing Arts, help develop this quality. Our children thrive on the high expectations that the school has for them – this is especially evident in both the Foundation Stage and the standards that pupils attain by the end of Year 6, particularly in Mathematics and English.
St. Alban’s is a happy and popular school where children are loved and cared for, where they become very independent, confident and reliable young children as they experience many exciting opportunities ahead of them. They are at the centre of our thoughts and by listening and working with them we are offering an education which is fun, exciting and challenging.
