Foundation/Key Stage 1 Category Winners
The Cambridgeshire Young People’s Film Festival started in 2008 and every year now over a thousand young people, their parents and teachers, walk the red carpet at an ‘OSCAR’ style celebration to see if their film has won an award or perhaps the ultimate ‘BEST OF FESTIVAL’.
The film festival provides the focus and inspiration to encourage children, some as young as five, to use talk, drama and writing, photography, animating, shooting, directing and editing to produce some outstanding films. Work in this area engages young people and contributes considerably to their overall literacy development in addition to planning, problem resolution, team work, art, design technology and a whole host of other associated skills.
